“Matter of fact, just take my pen, here you create my rhymes”
It is not I who write, but Christ through me
His words bleed through my pen, honest and true
They speak into the soul, which they can see
Listen here today, for these words are for you
God inspired me to write this poem, I had to stop what I was doing, or else it wouldn’t leave me alone. This poem breathes with the breath of God. After I wrote it I read it a few times and wasn’t really pleased with the way it sounded but then I heard it breathing! Can’t you see the inhale and exhale in every alternating line???? Just think about it, the words ‘me’ and ‘see’ are pronounced by slightly contracting the belly inward as in a deep breath. And the words ‘true’ and ‘you’ are the opposite, they are pronounced by pushing out air through the mouth!!!! Plus, think about the meaning of each line as well. The first and third line exalt Christ, they speak of Him working through me and what His words can do. These lines go upward, and the second and fourth lines are about His words flowing through me for the audience! They flow downwards! This will be my signature or opening to all my writings, because they are all for Him, because of Him and by Him for “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” Galatians 2:20
