The Bride Used to be Beautiful!
And what is this? what has happened?
it is everything; because NOTHING has happened
And I heard and saw His sorrow, His despair, through this that I witnessed:
( I might have very well been speaking to a bunch of ordinary girls, but these were claimingly long term christians. I listened to them, my brain unable to proscess the fact that these where … christians?! no, I concluded that in fact they are not christan at all, and much less understand who Christ is. I looked around the gym and obsereved the children play as I have many times before and was convinced only 2-4 ( and that might even be a optimistic assumption) of them truly know God. The scary thing that this means is that after the adults, the next gereation is LOST. in fact they are already gone unless we do something now! I continue to listen to the girls, what to say!? anything i say would make no sence whatsoever to them, nothing! their foundation is destroyed, I fear that many of them may not have a foundation at all. Unless i start from the bottom up, whatever I say will be of little or no use. We walk out of the gym and into the church’s game room. I sit on a bean bag with one of the girls and we continue to discuss simple issues like the weather and school. Then for some reason I get up and walk out of the room, as i crossed the hallway betweem the game room and the gym, i hear a cry comming from the gym. I look throught the open door and see one of the older youth attempting to hold back a very upset looking boy. I rush inside and ask what is going on. as I speak I notice another younger boy crying on the other side of the gym. I look back to see the boy being held back break free from the young adult’s grip. In a second he was off headed directly to one of the girls (only a bit older than he, the boy was about 10 and the girl 12? around there) They begin hitting each other. There was a moment that shock invaded my body, this had never happened before. In fact, the kids here bearly even have serious arguments, so seeing these two very young kids engaging in a physical fight seemed unreal. The young adult (who was originaly holding the boy) and myself rushed over to try and break them up. After a couple seconds we suceeded. I spoke to the children, asked them what happened. Their explination was ordinary, something that should not have even came close to what happened, the trigger was an accident! I spoke to them my heart heavy from the realization of where this generation was headed. told them that we are a family!! that it is not God’s plan for us to turn against each other, for a house divided against each other cannot stand. I look over to the boy and notice a few scratches on his face and one long gash along the side of his neck. I tell them that that is what happened when we don’t control ourselves as I point to the boy’s neck, the girl’s eyes widened at bit at the sight of it. In the end the children came to realize that what they had created was unnessesary and hurtful (I really do hope so) and they offered each other apologies)
Apologies work
but only for sometime, unless we dig down to the real root of the problem. The real problem was not that they fought, or even the reason why it all started, but the fact that their lives are broken, that they do not know who they are, that they do not know God! and on top of that, they have no guidance, many times parents do nothing other than damage their children. It sickens me!! The parents of all these church kids have been in the faith for years!! others not so long, but are thristy to learn. they have grown tremendously in their faith and are faithful to the church. But they come to only recieve!! they live to only recieve. They need to start giving. So many times parents speak lowly of their kids, they believe they are not capable of understanding or that everything will get better, but they do nothing! they are taken by fear, fear of rejection, of failing. but heros know no fear!!! And if the church does not remember Jesus, if the church ignores Him who lives in them, who will be the heros?? who are the hero’s of today’s youth?? Lady GaGa??!! Chris is the hero, he lives through us, so guess what, WE are the heros!! this world cannot wait anymore. If we want to save the world we need to first clean out the church, the bride has got to shower!!! it’s like she went out, rolled in the mud and has become full of herself. Spending hours feasting on the finest foods witihout sharing. She has become selfish!!
The bride used to be beautiful
and I am going to remind her.
